Dr. Stephanie Chu is a current adjunct clinical professor at the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Post-Graduate Periodontics Department. She holds a specialty certificate in Periodontics and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She has given lectures nationally and internationally, published numerous articles, and contributed to chapters of textbooks within the field of clinical research on periodontics and esthetic implant dentistry. She currently maintains a private practice limited to periodontics in Manhattan.


The first half of the course will discuss strategies for diagnosing and treating peri-implantitis. Prevention strategies will cover implant surface selection and prosthetic contour design. The second half of the course will discuss treatment planning multiple implants in the esthetic zone.


Upon completion of this course, attendees should be able to:

  • Diagnose and manage peri-implantitis, in addition to peri-implant mucositis.

  • Understand implant selection strategies for periodontally compromised patients.

  • Determine when to save and when to remove implants.

  • Treatment plan single and multiple implants in the esthetic zone.
