Dr. Souyias went to the University of Detroit Mercy and graduated with his DDS in 2002. He completed a three-year periodontal residency program at Oregon Health and Science University in 2005 and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in 2007. A former Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Periodontology and Hygiene, at the University of Detroit Mercy, he is also co-owner and co-founder of Referral Lab, a business analytic software company. Dr. Souyias regularly presents to dentists and hygienists and is a former faculty member at the Pikos Institute. His full-time private practice in Port Huron, MI is known for their amazing case acceptance, communication skills, and incredible patient experience.
Michelle N. Jones has over 20 years’ experience in dental hygiene. She is a dedicated and compassionate clinician who provides exceptional care through education, prevention and personalized attention. As the Hygiene Team Leader, OSHA officer, and a presenter at Advanced Strategies for Treatment Coordinators in Chicago, she maintains the highest standards of safety, compliance, and clinical excellence for patients and team members. Michelle is passionate about the connection between oral health and overall wellness, helping patients understand how diabetes, cardiovascular health, and systemic inflammation can impact smiles and quality of life. Michelle focuses on empowering her patients so they leave educated, supported and confident in maintaining their oral health.
The most difficult periodontal diagnoses are the ones that are not clearly slight periodontitis nor severe gingivitis. We will teach you how to diagnose and treat these tricky cases without fear and get the answer right every time. We will also spend some time teaching you how to talk to your patients about their periodontal disease and help you improve your case acceptance.
