It’s a vital time for comprehensive care of our patients’ natural teeth, implants and restorations and most importantly their overall health. As dental professionals, we have a new role to incorporate biofilm science into our prophylaxis and disease treatment protocols. We need to educate our patients about inflammation, oral systemic connection, and a biofilm-focused home care regimen. This course will present a new perspective on your prophylaxis, periodontal, and peri-implant disease treatment protocols. Prevention for natural teeth, protection of implants and preservation or restorations will be addressed.

Upon completion of this session, attendees should be able to:

  • Understand clinical applications based on ACP guidelines for tooth-and implant- borne restoration patients and World Workshop AAP/EFP classification for periodontal and peri-implant conditions

  • Deploy new protocols, tools and products for natural teeth, implants and preservation of restorations

  • Understand why biofilm-focused home care is essential for oral and overall health
