There is a significant gap between the number of patients needing tooth replacement and those who actually receive treatment. Many patients are not presented with all available options or are offered inferior choices. This course will explore the issue, provide insights on improving diagnosis and treatment planning, and present a comprehensive overview of treatment options, including their pros and cons. It will also guide clinicians on effectively communicating these options to patients.

Upon completion of this course, attendees should be able to:

  • Understand the growing unmet need which exists for patients who are either edentulous or have terminal dentition.

  • Understand how traditional clinical training is a contributing factor to this unmet need growing.

  • Become more familiar with the full range of options available to treat this patient group including complete dentures, overdentures and implant retained fixed full arch

  • Feel comfortable presenting these options to patients and matching that with what is really best for that individual
