Florin Cofar + Eric Van Dooren: Circumventing Digital Workflow Bottlenecks in Comprehensive Treatment Planning

Dr Florin Cofar specializes in esthetic rehabilitations, working interdisciplinary for treating complex cases with orthodontic and implant component as well as minimally invasive restoratives. After graduating from Victor Babes University in 2007, he continued post-graduate studies at NYU College of Dentistry and Harvard Business school. Starting out as an endodontist, he later on specialized in Smile design and digital dentistry, founding the Dentcof Research and Education center. He lectured in over 30 countries for AARD, AACD, BACD, SBOE, SACD, SSER, FACD and his works were published in worldwide publications such as QDT.

Dr Eric Van Dooren is one of Europe's best specialists in periodontics, implantology and prosthodontics. He attendend the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium where he received his degree in dentistry in 1982. He is known for treatments that successfully combine periodontics, prosthodontics and dental implants. His cases, articles and books have been issued in cooperation with other leading practitioners. Dr Van Dooren is the co-author of: The Art Of The Smile: Integrating Prosthodontics , Orthodontics, Periodontics, Dental Technology and Plastic Surgery in Esthetic Dental Treatment. In the present, he is practicing in his private office in Belgium, and lecturing all over the world.


In this approachable, moderately complex interdisciplinary treatment planning workshop, Drs Cofar and Van Dooren will challenge participants to ingrate their present treatment planning skills with digital workflow solutions that complement each other. In addition to an evening of treatment planning, the focus of these two clinicians will be on introducing the meaningful use of current technologies, understanding the impediments (bottlenecks) in their utilization, and presenting solutions to circumvent them. Their objective will be to stimulate rethinking case design in converting analog to digital information.


Upon completion of this course, attendees should be able to:

  • Shift the timeline in case design to create more flexibility in digital workflows.

  • Communicate more effectively with interdisciplinary team members in comprehensive case planning and treatment.
